notes from principal Welcome
Dear Parents and Website Visitors: We have a wonderful community full of people here in Benson who want to focus on students and help in whatever way they can.  Kathy Stannard at The Wheel Inn offered her restaurant for an 8th grade fundraiser in March.  She served up chicken and biscuits and donated half the proceeds to the 8th grade trip to Washington DC.   Rebeckah St. Peter and Missy Twitchell were kind enough to take on some gardening here at BVS.  Doesn’t the place look beautiful?  Bea Bowen continues to donate her time with students in the afternoons every day.  Jill Butler has been volunteering in the libray. Alice Stuber and Cindy Lee have been volunteering much of their time to the Drama Club.  Soon, we will see The Wizard of Oz and their hard work will pay off.  Thanks to all of these folks for their dedication to our students.  We are so lucky to have them in our community! Softball and Baseball are starting the last week of March.  Hopefully our weather will hold out, and we’ll have a terrific season.  Keep checking our website for further details.

Check out The Rutland Herald on Mondays.  You will find many published authors you might recognize.  Many of our 8th graders are now published authors!  And, did you see the Science Exhibition?  We have some fantastic scientists at Benson Village School.  We hope you were able to check out their experiments.

What talent we have at BVS!

The Computer Club learned how to animate a still photo or turn a photo into a drawing. Here is a sample of what they learned. Click on the Computer Club News links on the side to see more works by students!
