Notes From The Principal

Dear Parents and Website Visitors:

Welcome to the Benson Village School website!

Have you checked out the Benson Village School Facebook page?  If not, you should!  It is updated at least three times a week and has great pictures and information on happenings at the school.

Benson Community,

We very much appreciate your support of our 8th Grade Basket Raffle through donations of baskets or coming out to our raffle.  This event was an overwhelming success, and we were able to raise the funds needed to support our 8th grader’s trip to Washington, D.C. for the Class of 2017.

We know that it is through generous donations from our community and businesses that we are able to make this trip a reality for our students.  Please know your support means so much to all of us!  We can’t do it alone.  Thank you, again, for your support!

4th Grade Produces Film on “Titanic”

The 4th grade has written, directed and starred in their latest film, “Titanic”. The film tells the story of the disastrous maiden voyage of the “Unsinkable” Titanic through the eyes of three groups of people. You are sure to love this epic, so grab some popcorn, sit back and enjoy the film!

Students produce P.S.A.’s (public service announcements)

A few enterprising students have volunteered their own time to create a series of short films that explain to younger students what the letters in P.A.W.S., our PBIS philosophy, stand for. Click on the following links to see what they have done so far.

Student Acknowledgment Assembly

Our second Student Acknowledgment Assembly. Thanks to all the parents and families who came to support their children. This month, we are focusing on our “W” in PAWS; Work Responsibly. Here’s to November! Three of our students created a video describing what Working Responsibly would look like for our youngest students. Great work!
