Dear Parents and Website Visitors:
Another school year comes to a close! Each year I cannot believe how quickly the time goes by. Hopefully you were able to get a BVS yearbook and will have memories of this school year preserved to look at any time you’d like. Please send in the order form and money by Tuesday, June 16th.
For school year 2015-16, we say goodbye to Susan Fletcher, a BVS veteran teacher of 39 years! She will be terribly missed, and we wish her nothing but joy in her retirement. She will continue to do some things at BVS, so you will certainly still be seeing her around. We welcome Nicholle Nelson in Grades 2/3. She brings classroom experience with her, and she is very excited to join the BVS community.
The first PTCC meeting of the new school year is August 31st at 6:00 pm. We are hoping for parents and community members to volunteer for only ONE event the whole school year. If that is manageable for you, join us on August 31st to see which one you’d like to help out with.
Enjoy the summer!

Benson Students Continue Working on Walking Trail in a BIG Way!
Benson students were hard at work Friday June 5, 2015 on the community Walking Trail project that they started last year. Progress on the trail has been steady and the trail is looking better all the time. Here are a few photos of the students hard at work! Thank you to community members Bob St. Peter, John Wurzbacher, Luke Bartley, Lynn Fowler, Steven Stuart and Tracey Matteson for volunteering your time and energy in helping out with this ongoing project! It was greatly appreciated!
